A huge thank you to everybody who placed orders with Romster Bike Wear from when we kicked off the £2 from every order goes to my charity ride for little Niamh. We together raised a whopping £126.00 for Niamh which was a fantastic effort! On behalf of Romster and little Niamh i would like to thank all the following people! Hello and thanks for visiting our page dedicated to Niamh Curry. Myself and a team of staff from JE James Cycles are raising funds to support and help little Niamh Curry get the treatment she needs. I first came across Niamh's story after seeing a RT on Twitter by one of Britain's most well known cyclists Sir Chris Hoy.
After reading Niamh's story from her website Niamh'sNextSteps I felt I had to help this amazing little girl get her wish. Having been involved in charity rides before I knew with a little bit of hardwork I could contribute to helping Niamh and her family get what they desperately need.
Our charity ride is something different to your ordinary A to B ride and we're hoping you'll acknowledge all the hard work myself and the lads are putting in over the next few months to make this work for Niamh by sponsoring us and helping her get the treatment she needs.
Our plan is to spell out Niamh's name by cycling to 5 different locations in and around the Yorkshire area, one beginning with N, one with I and so on and so on.
The ride is going to consist of about 250 miles of bike riding over 48 hours, some pretty sites, some horrible sites, some lovely terrain, and some leg breaking terrain.
We were going to attempt this in 24 hours but then had the great idea of collecting along the way so we'll be doing over 48 hours as said before. We'll be cycling from:
Starting Point - JE James Cycles - Rotherham to:
Nottingham - Ilkley - Almondbury - Manchester - Heringthorpe.
We will hopefully be doing a spot of money collecting on the way as I said so we'll publish the exact route soon and if we're cycling through your hometown, please, please come and show us support and drop a pound in our collection bucket - everything we get will put Niamh a step closer.
You can follow our training progress and general news about the event on Twitter @romsterbikewear and @jejamescycles. You can also come and put pennies in a box at any of the JE James Cycles stores where we have collection boxes for little Niamh's fund, these should be arriving some time in the week beginning 6th February. You can find location details of the JE James Cycles Stores here About Us.
We have had some amazing support on Twitter from some famous names who you may know such as Bradley Wiggins, Russ and Dean Downing, Steve Peate, Ian Wright, Lee Dixon, Gary Lineker, David Flatman, Warren Barton, Alec Stewart, Lee Westwood and many many more so please follow us on our journey especially on Twitter and help us get the following trending - #niamhbikeride
We'll be publicising our event through local and national press both cycling related and general news related and also using social platforms such as Facebook & Twitter - so if you see anything about us please, please send it on to your friends so they can see it too and let's raise as much money as we can for Niamh.
Thanks for reading everyone, lets help Niamh get that wish.
Romster Bike Wear M.D - Andy Liversidge
